My Motivation
A single-issue is not driving my candidacy. I’m interest in setting a wide range of goals and implementing strategies, initiatives, and policies that will ensure the success of all D300 students.
The District’s Strategic Plan identifies our strengths, as well as pathways for improvement and the Master Facilities Plan will serve a guide in implementing the district’s future infrastructure projects. My participation in the development of these plans has provided me a deeper understanding of the district goals and the needs of our community. I’d like the opportunity to see these plans progress over and continue advocating for the responsible use of district resources, ensuring staff are equipped to perform to their highest ability, increasing student voice, improving student outcomes, and addressing community priorities.
If re-elected, I will focus on:
Student Success
Advancing strategies and initiatives that ensure all students grow and succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.
Educator Support
Supporting teachers and staff in their work to create and deliver purposeful and engaging learning experiences.
Program Expansion
Expanding existing programs to provide more opportunities and support for our students’ aspirations.
Student Voice
Increasing opportunities for student voice to make sure that students feel heard, accepted, valued, and safe.
Community Engagement
Engaging with the community to understand varying perspectives and working collaboratively to address community priorities.
District Finances
Maintaining a fiscally sound budget that wisely spends our tax dollars and balances our current needs with our plans for the future.
